The Story Behind the Work
Equis (Spanish for the letter X) explores the cross, the intersection, the mark of meeting. The 48 × 48 inch square canvas with metallic painted edges is one of the most architecturally ambitious works in the collection, the metallic treatment means the painting responds differently to every light source in the room.
